Yes—forever free and open-source. It runs on your existing Claude Code subscription—no separate API key required. Some optional background features use lightweight Haiku calls via the API, but we're talking cents on the dollar.
How do capabilities work?
work buddy uses an MCP gateway with dynamic capability discovery. 60+ registered capabilities—from task management to journal updates to Chrome tab triage. Build your own or use what's there.
Is it stable?
work buddy is in active development. The core framework is solid, but expect rough edges. Structured workflows with dependency tracking, retry queues, and consent gates keep things predictable.
Is it safe?
